“Sorin, Ioan, Andreia and Alin, savior angels on the first day of the year. A few minutes ago, our colleagues from Brasov urgently intervened in the town of Magura Branului at an altitude of 1,100 meters to save a 60-year-old woman in critical condition with burns on 20% of her body surface. The intervention presented a high degree of complexity due to the area in which the person was located, difficult access to ground intervention structures and existing diseases, the victim was intubated and artificially ventilated by the medical team on board the SMURD helicopter. This is stated in a message published on Sunday on the Facebook page of the Main Aviation Inspection of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.
According to the cited source, the medical team managed to safely transfer the woman within 10 minutes to the doctors of the Brasov District Clinical Emergency Hospital to receive comprehensive medical care and specialized treatment.
“Congratulations, dear colleagues, to you and other flight crews of the SMURD, who on the first day of the year saved 11 people who suffered a national-level disaster! The fight for life continues!”, the source also notes.
