The first photos of Alexia Tudose, the 15-year-old who lost her arms in a bus accident, have been released after a marathon 20-hour operation in which doctors from Iași succeeded in replanting both of her arms.

Alexia Tudose, 15, lost both her arms just before Christmas after the bus she was traveling in overturned.
The surgery, during which doctors managed to transplant both hands, lasted 20 hours and involved 10 doctors, 8 nurses, 4 nurses and two porters.
Doctors at the children’s hospital in Iasi managed to save both hands of the girl after a marathon operation that lasted 20 hours.
