According to the information, the Athenian Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating what is reported to have happened in Kivoto, is calling its founder and symbolic representative, Father Antonios, to account for abuse of negligence, a crime allegedly committed against two children. , today a 19-year-old boy who filed a corresponding complaint, and another minor from the Kivotos structure in Volos. The prosecution, according to which Father Antonios will give explanations, was allegedly carried out serially and professionally.

At the same time, six more people – workers of the Ark and associates of the priest – who are charged with causing physical harm to a weak (minor) associated with complaints of child abuse (beatings, severe punishments, isolation, etc.) are also asked for clarification. Some of these probation complaints are serious, such as prolonged solitary confinement or stone-breaking punishments that resemble torture but are prosecuted as misdemeanors, and this is because, with the 2019 amendment of the Criminal Code, the relevant felony charge has become a misdemeanor and still hasn’t changed.

Separately from the six, an employee of the “Volos” structure is brought to justice, who put the child in danger, since it is alleged that during the beating, this employee did not run to offer him medical assistance, putting his life in danger.

It is interesting to note that Father Antonios, in addition to being charged with abuse and neglect related to the complaints of two children, is prosecuted as a moral offender for the abuse of many children.

And this is because, as it became known, it turned out from the prosecutor’s investigation that beatings, punishments, etc. with regard to some children, they were a means of education and a method of intimidation of some child delinquents, and not isolated cases of ill-treatment by his employees and associates of Father Antonio.

In any case, those involved in the tangle of allegations of child abuse on the Ark will demand a deadline for preparing their explanations, while an investigation into the finances of the Ark continues, which is being handled by prosecutor Ioannis Sevis, and the Anti-Money Laundering in its opinion pointed to some serious signs of financial crimes.
