Russia has increased the number of troops, weapons and military equipment that are transferred to the front line in Ukraine by rail, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in an evening briefing, Ukrainian Pravda reports.

“The Russians intensified the transfer of personnel, military equipment and ammunition by rail to the combat areas,” the General Staff said in a statement.

The Ukrainian military also reported that Russian troops continue to advance in the Donetsk areas of Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Lyman.

During December 23, the occupiers launched one missile and four airstrikes and carried out 16 shellings with the use of rocket-propelled grenades.

They are trying to improve their tactical position on the Kupyan front and maintain defense on the Novopavlovsk, Zaporizhzhya Kherson fronts.
