Macron congratulated Mbappe and company on the trip to Qatar, as well as a fantastic comeback after the game against Argentina.

The French president also said he wants Didier Deschamps to stay on as coach of the Rooster of Gaul because he is a great coach.

“I told Kylian (not Mbappe) that he is an extraordinary player and that he is only 24 years old (he will be on Tuesday, December 20).

What I said to the players in the dressing room is that they made us very proud and made us vibrate. We had one of the best World Cup finals ever.

I want Didier Deschamps to continue. I told him he needed to digest what happened. He showed that he is a great coach. There are many people who cry, but I showed heart and quality.

This team speaks to who we are: to do the unthinkable, to be united. So “long live the Republic and long live France.” That’s how I finished my speech in the locker room,” he said Emmanuel Macronquoted by News.ro.
