Seven Indian citizens, who tried to illegally enter Romania on foot with the help of a Romanian, were discovered by the border police of Naidas – Karash-Severin.

As a result of the measures taken, seven Indian citizens were found who tried to enter Romania illegally on foot on the green border, using the help of a Romanian citizen, according to a press release sent on Saturday and cited by Agerpres. .

“On 16.12.2022, around 12:00, after carrying out measures on the line of prevention and countering illegal migration, border police officers of the Naidăş Border Police Sector noticed, approximately 500 meters from the border line, near the village of There were eight people on foot. Since they did not justify their presence in the area, they were taken to the sector headquarters for verification. During preliminary checks, the border police found that the seven brought to the headquarters are Indian citizens aged between 21 and 38 years. Along with the migrants in question, there was also a 42-year-old Romanian citizen who intended to help foreigners,” the quoted source said.

The border police are investigating Indian citizens for the crime of fraudulent border crossing and a Romanian citizen for migrant trafficking in a criminal case under the coordination of the prosecutor’s office of the Karash-Severin court, namely: after completion, the necessary legal measures must be taken.
