“I think this is a historic step for Romania, because it is the first step. “I think 28% of Romanians have basic digital skills, so we are starting from a relatively low level,” he added.

The Romanian Digitalization Authority (ADR) organized on Friday the signing event together with the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of the contract for the implementation of the I19 investment from the PNRR.

The project “Skills in advanced technologies for SMEs” for the implementation of investments I19 from the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR) – Schemes dedicated to the improvement / retraining of employees of companies, will support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises. enterprises by strengthening the digital skills of their employees and specializing the workforce in advanced technological areas.

Thus, employees of small and medium-sized businesses will be able to improve their knowledge/skills by participating in training programs in key technical areas such as: Internet of Things (IoT), cloud technologies, big data, machine learning, artificial intelligence, process automation robotics . , blockchain, cyber-physical systems and additive manufacturing.

The total investment budget is EUR 36 million (177.102 million lei, excl. VAT), PNRR funding, of which 34 million euro (167.263 million lei, excl. VAT) is the total non-refundable de minimis aid amount that will be granted under the de minimis aid scheme for promotion/retraining of company employees.
