Shooting his second film Joker with title”Joker: Folie a Deuxยป started with the director Todd Phillips to share the first image with fans on Saturday afternoon.
“The first day. Our boy. #joker,” the caption reads. In the photo, the main character Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck. He lies, and a hand above him holds a razor. Phoenix appears to have retained his physical form three years after the release of the first Joker movie.
While we don’t know more about the plot, the sequel’s story will be based on the events of the previous film, with the Phoenix character being admitted to Arkham Asylum.

Phoenix, who won the Best Actor Oscar for his role in the first Joker, will reprise his role as Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the sequel. Brendan Gleeson (Banshee Inisherina) is also joining the production.
Phillips is returning to direct the Joker sequel after the first film. His adaptation of the “dark” comic book resulted in 11 Oscar nominations, a Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival, and was a box office success with 1 billion tickets sold worldwide.
The sequel, due out in October 2024, will be a musical.
