Ann Sakulas, the wife of a US diplomat, was sentenced by a London court on Thursday to eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months, for causing the death of a teenager by careless driving in a 2019 crash in England, Reuters reports.
Harry Dunn, 19, died in August 2019 after his motorcycle collided with a car driven by Ann Sakulas on the wrong side of the road near RAF Croughton, an air base in Northamptonshire, England, used by the US military.
Sakulas, who pleaded guilty in October, was not present at the sentencing at the Central Criminal Court in London’s Old Bailey, but appeared via video link from the United States.
