In a message sent on Wednesday evening, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that four policemen, including the head of the State Police Department in Cherkasy Oblast, were killed by Russian landmines in the Kherson region, and doctors are trying to save the lives of four more policemen. , writes News.ro.

He added that in the Donetsk region, Russian troops carried out a “very brutal and undoubtedly deliberate” shelling in Kurakhovo, on civilians “in the market, in the elevator, at the gas station, at the bus station, in the residential building.” ” So far, ten dead and several wounded are known.

Zelensky noted that a meeting was held at which the commanders’ reports were presented and the situation was analyzed in certain directions. He explained that in the Donetsk region, in the Bakhmut area, fierce fighting is taking place.

The President of Ukraine reported that at another meeting the discussion was about the energy system, its stabilization and protection of power plants.

“We are constantly increasing the generation and supply of electricity – we add volumes almost every day. But we must not forget – and no one should forget – that it is now impossible to 100% restore the energy system that existed before the start of the Russian energy terror. We need time. That is why planned outages remain in most cities and districts,” explained Zelenskyy, noting that the most outages are in Kyiv and the region, as well as in Lviv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava, Vinnytsia, and Transcarpathian regions.

He added that Wednesday is Local Self-Government Day, thanked those who protect their community at their level, who take care of defense and prepare everything so that the community can survive this winter more easily.

He noted that Ukrainian officials participated in a conference in America devoted to the creation of a special court for crimes of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

“Also, not everyone now agrees that this court will work. But no matter what they say, we will do our part and will definitely get a result for Ukraine and for Ukrainians,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

He said that “important decisions” for Ukrainian defense are approaching.
