Sergio Ramos, who was left out of the squad for this final tournament by coach Luis Enrique, took to social media shortly after the 2010 world champions were ruled out of the competition.

The current PSG player, world champion (2010) and two-time European champion with Spain (2008 and 2012), who made 180 appearances and scored 23 goals for Furia Roja, sent a strong message on Instagram to all the Iberians’ staff back home from the World Cup in Qatar.

“Today, more than ever, I am proud of our flag, proud of our country and our players. Spain does not lose, Spain learns. Spain falls, stumbles, but gets up and goes on. We will come back stronger. Come on, Spain!” wrote Sergio Ramos.
