On Wednesday, the Chamber of Deputies adopted a draft law that introduces the possibility of publishing a criminal record in electronic form. The law is going to be published.

The draft law simplifies the procedure for obtaining a record in the sense that both the application and the issuance of the document will be possible in electronic form.

“At the request of individuals or legal entities, after recording the option in the standard application provided for in subsections (1) and (2), a certificate of criminal record is issued free of charge and in electronic form. are signed in electronic form with a qualified electronic signature and equated to authentic documents.(…) Within 6 months from the date of entry into force of this Law by joint order of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Scientific Activities, Innovations and Digitalization, the procedure for issuing criminal records in electronic form” – it is stated in the legislative initiative.

The bill is sent to President Klaus Iohannis for promulgation, and the Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body in this case.
