The traffic police have scheduled emergency traffic for tomorrow, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the center of Athens in connection with the marches that were announced on the occasion of the anniversary of the murder Alexandru Grigoropoulos.

At the same time, GADA has developed measures in case of incidents, which will operate in the same spirit as the measures for the Polytechnic.

It should be reminded that, as every year, events are planned to be held at 12.00 and 18.00 in the Propylaea of ​​the University of students and various groups, and then processions to the Parliament will follow.

As announced, the planned traffic adjustments will be implemented gradually and depending on the traffic conditions presented.

Measures have been planned and will be taken by the Attica Traffic Authority to facilitate traffic in the wider center of Athens at noon and Tuesday afternoon.

“Drivers are asked to avoid driving and parking their vehicles at the event venues as well as the wider area of ​​the centre, both for their convenience and to prevent further traffic problems,” the announcement reads.

Which roads will be closed in Thessaloniki

The traffic rules for events commemorating the anniversary of the assassination of Alexandros Grigoropoulos will also apply in Thessaloniki.

In particular, the Thessaloniki Traffic Authority reported the following:

From 11:00 will gradually intervene (interrupt-detour) traffic on the streets: Egnatia, National Defense, Tsimiski, Agios Dimitriou, Democrat Square, XANTh. Square, Kar. September, Angelaki, Armenopoulou, G. Lambraki, K. Karamanli and wherever required, depending on the prevailing traffic conditions at any given time.

It will also be prohibited to stop and park cars on the central streets of the city, namely:

  • National Defense, on the section from Agios Dimitriou Street to Alex Street. Swallow.
  • Egnatia, on the section from 3 September Street to Etnikis Aminis Street.
  • Gr. Lambraki, on the section from Egnatia street to Kavtanzoglu street.
  • St. Dimitriou, in the section from Lazou Exarchi Street to 3 September Street and in the section from Proxena Street to S. Dragumi Street.
  • Armenopoulou, on the section from Melenikou street to Ethnikis Aminis street.
  • You. Heraklion, on the section from Aristotle’s Square to Carolo Del Street.
  • University, on the section from Agios Dimitriou Street to G. Vizinou Street.
  • September 3 on the section from Ag. Dimitriou Street to G. Lambraki Street.
  • Olympiados, in the section from Elenis Zografou Street to the height of Kassandro Angelaki Street, along its entire length.

At key points there will be traffic controllers who will regulate traffic and facilitate the work of drivers.
