On Tuesday morning, the police were informed that two suspicious envelopes had arrived at the Embassy of Ukraine in Bucharest. The embassy has police and pyrotechnic teams working to check letters.

On Tuesday, around 11 a.m., police officers from the Bucharest Municipality Police Headquarters – Section 1 were alerted that two envelopes with suspicious contents had been received at the embassy’s headquarters in Section 1, the police reported to the Capital.

The police arrived at the scene and guarded the area. Pyrotechnic groups also travel there to perform certain inspections.

Ukraine announced last week that a series of “bloody parcels” had been sent to Ukrainian embassies in Europe shortly after a bomb exploded at the Ukrainian embassy in Spain and after police defused others sent to Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, among others.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid received a package with animal eyes on Friday, which the Ministry of Internal Affairs said had a foreign seal, Reuters reports.
