
More than 19 tons of pyrotechnics were confiscated by officers of the Directorate of Weapons, Explosives and Dangerous Substances between November 21 and December 1, according to Romanian police.
According to the source, 122 authorized individuals and legal entities were checked, and 98 unauthorized individuals and legal entities were identified. At the same time, in 83 criminal proceedings, 103 crimes, in which 101 persons are suspected of having been committed, have been disclosed and are being investigated.
17 offenses were applied for a total amount of 25,500 lei, and 19,267 kilograms of pyrotechnic products of categories F1, F2, F3, F4 and P1 were confiscated for the amount of 1,593,340 lei.
On November 21, the police officers of the Directorate for Combating Weapons, Explosives and Dangerous Substances, in cooperation with the Department of Public Order, the Department of Investigation of Economic Crimes, the Department of Transport Police, the Roads Department and the Institute for Research and Crime Prevention, launched the national action “Fireworks 2022-2023”
