Switzerland reached the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

The opponent of the Romanian national team at the preliminary stage of Euro-2024 won the match at the 3rd place in Group G and reached the 1/8 finals.

The national team, coached by Murat Yakin, scored first through Xherdan Shaqiri (20th minute), but the Serbians reversed the result with two excellent goals scored by Aleksandar Mitrovic (26th minute) and Dusan Vlahovic (35th minute). Shortly before the break, the Swiss equalized through Embolo (min. 44), Murat Yakin’s boys at the end of the collective stage.

The second half started just as well for Switzerland, who took the lead again after a 10-point spell that was capped off by an unstoppable Frouhler.

Brazil lost to Cameroon but finished top of the group

Tite’s team did not force the match against the Africans, and it was also visible on the field. Cameroon controlled the match and had the better chances, and Vincent Aboubakar scored the winning goal against Rigober Song’s men in extra time.
