
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez announced on Thursday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus and is showing mild symptoms. The Spanish official has taken part in several international meetings in recent days, including the NATO ministerial meeting in Bucharest, AFP reports, citing news.ro.
“I received a positive test for COVID-19. I’m fine, I have mild symptoms,” Jose Manuel Albarez said in a message posted on Twitter.
The head of Spanish diplomacy returned to Spain on the night from Wednesday to Thursday after a series of visits to European capitals.
Jose Manuel Albarez attended a dinner organized by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on Wednesday in Lodz, Poland.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, he participated in the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Bucharest.
