Viral Load – Wastewater

During the week of November 21–27, 2022, there was an upward trend compared to the week of November 14–20, 2022 in the average weekly SARS-CoV-2 viral load in municipal wastewater in one of eight (1)/8) areas tested by the National Wastewater Epidemiology Network (EDEL) EODY and declining trends in seven of the eight regions (7/8) of the EDL. In Heraklion, there was a clear upward trend in the average weekly volume of urban wastewater (+55%). Net decreasing trends were observed in Agios Nikolaos (-60%), Ioannina (-55%), Corfu (-45%) and Patras (-43%), while the decrease was insignificant in Thessaloniki (-25%) in Chania (-21%) and Attica (-12%).
