Singer and songwriter Christine McVie, a member of the Anglo-American rock group Fleetwood Mac, has died at the age of 79, the BBC reported on Wednesday, citing a statement from her family, Reuters reports.

The British singer-songwriter signed some of the group’s most important songs, such as “Little Lies”, “Everywhere”, “Don’t Stop”, “Say You Love Me” and “Songbird”, according to News.ro.

She died in hospital with her family, the report said.

McVie left Fleetwood Mac after 28 years in 1998, but returned to the group in 2014.

“We want everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible being and a respected musician who was loved by everyone,” the artist’s family said in a statement.

McVie, who joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970, wrote the lyrics to some of the group’s most important songs, including “Don’t Stop,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Over My Head,” “Songbird,” “Say You Love” . I”.

McVie has released three solo albums. Her 1984 record Christine McVie was the only one to reach number 26 on the US charts.

Between her divorce from McVie in 1976 and her marriage to Quintela in 1986, she was engaged to Beach Boys drummer, songwriter and lead singer Dennis Wilson for three years.
