An organ donation evaluation has been completed for a 21-year-old student who died in the center of Thessaloniki when she was driven away by a car driven by a 26-year-old boy.
Organs are expected to be received this evening by special teams of doctors from “Onasio” and “Hippocrateo” in Thessaloniki.
The corneas will remain at the Papageorgiou hospital, where the cornea transplant is performed.
The necessary tests have already been done before the grafts are received, so the process is moving forward.
After admission, as usual, there will be another examination process to decide which organs are finally suitable for transplantation for operations on compatible recipients.
