In his evening speech, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that last week Russian troops fired 258 times on 30 settlements of the Kherson region, Kyiv Independent reports.
He added that Russian troops also damaged the pumping station that supplied water to Mykolaiv.
Russian attacks on the Kherson region intensified after Ukraine liberated the regional capital and other areas on the west bank of the Dnieper in early November.
Many residents who survived the Russian occupation are now leaving their homes due to the constant threat of bombing.
In total, from November 20 to 25, 15 people, including a child, were killed in Kherson by Russian shelling, and 35 were injured, said the head of the Kherson City Council, Galina Lugova.
