“Will the social democrat with European claims, Marcel Čolaku, play on all ankles and defend him, like Arsen from Neamts and many others?”, the USR president wrote on his Facebook page, stressing that “PSD proves again that it is a party corruptor”.

He said that Badelau has no recommendations to apply to the Accounting Chamber. “On the contrary: in 1988, he was convicted of theft and was under investigation in several DIICOT and DNA cases,” – emphasized the leader of the UDR.

“Nicolae Bedalau was awarded the position of the Chamber of Accounts after he did not get a place on the PSD lists in the parliamentary elections because he had insulted Romanians in the diaspora several times,” said Drula.

The vice-president of the Accounting Chamber, Nikolay Badelau, was detained for 24 hours by DNA prosecutors in the case of continuous bribery and abuse of influence. DNA prosecutors say Badelau allegedly promised 170,000 euros to the mayor of the commune to offer the contract to a company run by his relative. Together with Badelau, a representative of the company was arrested for the crime of complicity in bribery
