According to the latest intelligence reports, there has been “intense fighting” in the area of the eastern Ukrainian cities of Pavlivka and Vugledar for the past two weeks, but the area has not changed much.

“Both Russia and Ukraine have significant forces deployed in this sector, and Russian marines have suffered heavy casualties. The area remains a serious concern, perhaps in part because Russia values the area as a potential launch pad for a future major advance north. to seize the rest of the Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk region,” the minister wrote on Twitter.

However, it is unlikely that Russia will be able to concentrate enough quality forces to achieve operational advancement.
