
Oltenia Energy Complex, one of the largest energy producers in the country, has decided to resume negotiations on an association with Tinmar Energy for the construction of four photovoltaic parks with a total installed capacity of approximately 280 MW.
“The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGEA) of CE Oltenia decided to resume dialogue with Tinmar Energy with the aim of establishing joint-stock companies for the implementation of projects related to new less polluting capacities provided for by the approved Restructuring and Decarbonization Plan of CE Oltenia. by the European Commission. This became possible after the shareholders of CE Oltenia rejected both the cancellation of the selection procedure for the projects for which Tinmar Energy SA was identified as the “selected participant” and the restoration of the selection procedure in an accelerated mode for the selection of investors in order to create joint stock companies for the implementation of the projects. , the company reported.
On October 12, 2022, the shareholders of CE Oltenia passed a decision by which they rejected the documents of the agreement concluded with Tinmar Energy, following a negative opinion given by the Supervisory Board of the CEO.
With this decision, AGEA remains open to the association approach with Tinmar Energy and can continue with new negotiations to revise some of the conditions. The joint-stock companies formed as a result of the CE Oltenia – Tinmar Energy association will aim to implement four photovoltaic parks with a total installed capacity of about 280 MW and a natural gas group of 475 MW in Turcheni.
“Approval of the association CE Oltenia – Tinmar Energy on new terms will allow to adhere to the estimated calendar for adding new capacities to transition to less polluting energy sources and to restore the viability of CE Oltenia, a company with a strategic role in the National Energy System,” the company also shows.
