G7 foreign ministers will discuss ways to further support Ukraine in securing its energy supply next week during a meeting in Bucharest, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said on Twitter on Thursday.
“Russia’s attacks on civilian infrastructure are an intolerable, inhumane crime. (President of Russia Volodymyr) Putin can throw the population of Ukraine into cold and darkness with his missiles. He will never destroy their desire for freedom and our support,” the German minister wrote.
We are invited next week as the country that presides over the G7 to Bucharest for a meeting also with other partners at the level of Foreign Ministers*Innen to ensure further support for Ukraine’s energy supply. 2/2

A meeting of NATO foreign ministers is also planned for Tuesday and Wednesday in Bucharest, reports Agerpres.
A meeting of G7 foreign ministers, held in Germany earlier this month at the initiative of Minister Burbock, focused on how to support Ukraine in the winter in the face of Russian attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure.
Dozens of Ukrainian cities were plunged into darkness this week after Russian missile attacks caused one of the country’s worst power outages.
