Claudio Nesui, the former economy minister, says on his Facebook page that he has won a lawsuit against the Financial Supervisory Authority, which refused to disclose data on collective bargaining agreements, salaries, allowances, work accommodation, accommodation, per diems and transport costs. Năsui accuses the ASF of “increasing their salary by six”.

“I found out that they did something wrong and increased their salary six times. I was told no, although I had information that they had it in the collective agreement. That’s why I asked them for a collective agreement. They refused. This is despite the fact that I am a member of the budget-finance-bank committee. The commission that theoretically controls them. They refused to give them. Amazing, isn’t it? That is why I returned with a parliamentary request. They refused again,” Nasui told Profit.ro.

He says the ASF continued to maintain “secrecy” even with its own workers, who were not allowed to make copies of the collective agreement and read it unless they showed interest, and even then only in a room with the director behind them makes sure they don’t take pictures.

“I sued them and won the case yesterday. It took a year, but now ASF is forced to release information it should never have kept secret. They will probably apply to buy more time. But they’ll come out, and then we’ll see why they’ve been hiding it so hard,” he added on Facebook.

According to the ASF data published by Profit.ro, in 2021 the institution’s cash salary expenses reached 151,060,541 lei (out of total expenses of 179,966,644 lei), i.e. a share of 83.99%.
