The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced the creation of more than 4,000 “Invincible Points” throughout the country, where in the event of long-term power outages caused by possible new Russian attacks, people will be able to enjoy water, heating, electricity, communication and the Internet, News.ro reports. .

“I am sure: by helping each other, we will survive this winter together,” he said. Zelensky noted that funds are being collected for the formation of a fleet of maritime drones. “Step by step, we will lead the Russian army to new defeats,” he said.

In a video message sent Tuesday evening, Zelensky announced new financial aid, including a new tranche of macroeconomic aid from the European Union worth 2.5 billion euros, noting that approval of the program is also expected for next year, worth 18 billion euros.

He also noted that in the near future the USA will allocate 4.5 billion dollars to support Ukraine’s budget.

“I am grateful to the partners for these important steps of solidarity. Thanks to such decisions of our friends, we maintain social stability and, despite all the Russian attacks, we fulfill our social obligations. And this is an obligation to millions of people,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that since the beginning of the war, almost 11 million Ukrainian pensioners regularly receive wages, pensions are indexed in accordance with legislation, six million citizens receive one or another social assistance.

“For this month alone, social payments amounted to almost 14 billion hryvnias. This is help for many children, low-income people, single mothers and people with disabilities. More than two million internally displaced persons also receive assistance from the state. Plus salaries for employees of the budget sector. We are doing everything to ensure payments to all our defenders,” the Ukrainian president explained.

As for the energy sector, Zelenskyi showed that in several regions they continue to work on restoring the network.

“We are also preparing a response to possible new terrorist attacks against our energy system. Tonight, only scheduled power outages are being used for stabilization in 16 regions and Kyiv,” he continued.

At the same time, the President of Ukraine noted that in the event of an increase in consumption, emergency outages may also occur.

“We are also starting a new project called ‘Points of Disobedience’ to support the people of the country. To date, more than 4 thousand such points have been prepared. Others are in the planning stage.

If there are another massive attack by the Russians and if it is known that power cannot be restored for several hours, these “Invincible Points” will be activated – all basic services will be there, including electricity, mobile and internet, heating, water and first aid kit Absolutely free and without stops,” Zelenskyi said.

He explained that such points will be in the headquarters of all regional and district administrations, as well as in schools and buildings of the State Emergency Service.

“We should all be ready for any scenario, given what terrorists are fighting against our people and what they are trying to do,” Zelensky emphasized. He thanked the entrepreneurs involved in the creation of these points, noting that the website has information for those who want to contribute.

“I am sure: by helping each other, we will be able to survive this winter together,” Zelensky added.
