Priest Kalistratus Chifan of the Vladychen Monastery, who was investigated after attacking a woman in the courtyard of the temple, is the hero of a new disgusting episode: he complains that the woman asked him to help her with a witch, telling her that she had no money, although he would have given the witch 1,000 lei .
Police Officer Marian Godina posted the new images of Priest Callistratus on Facebook on Monday.
- “One day a woman came and said to me: Father, I am so angry if you want to make me a fool, but know that I have no money.
- I say don’t take me that way. How much did he spend on witchcraft, where was he? Well, I gave 1000 lei.
- And you come to me with 5 lei? Do you take me for a fool? You leave with 100! 10% of what you took there.
- Why is the priest more stupid and has to pray for you for 5 lei and he cheats you and tells you 3 donuts and you give him 1000?
- I can’t stand this job! I want to be treated at least 10% of what a witch is treated with!” the priest tells some parishioners, according to the new recordings.
Removed from service
On November 14, the Archdiocese of Iași announced that priest Kalistratus Chifan of the Bishop’s Monastery can no longer serve during the period during which he is being investigated for assaulting a woman in the courtyard of the place of worship.
Until the end of the investigation, the priest Callistratus is suspended from the ministry – this means that he can no longer serve and confess, but he can communicate with the faithful and participate in the Liturgy, but not as a priest.
The decision was made after priest Kalistratus, an online star, filmed himself beating a woman in the churchyard, and the incident was witnessed by several parishioners. According to images published by Libertatea and Digi 24, the priest hit the woman hard and she fell down.
“Are you an unmarried hysterical bitch who came to perform in a theater in front of 500 people?”
The priest admitted to arguing with the woman in the churchyard, saying he got angry because they were “two unmarried girls who have deviant behavior or a bit of a tantrum”.
In an interview for “Bună Ziua, Iasi”, he spoke at length about the incident in the churchyard, insisting for almost 15 minutes that the women involved created problems for both the parishioners and the priests and monks who persecuted them.
“I read St. Basil’s poems and it was clear that they were set on hysteria. And I explained to them the 4 points of the law that they violate. That they are not allowed to film, that they are not allowed to be rude, insult people, molest. “You trash, do you know the law?!” And they got the phone out to take me down, and as I was about to take it, the other one got in my way and I went down on my knee on the sidewalk. I stood up, pushed her by the shoulder, took the phone from her, slammed it and told the guard to let them out,” he explained.
“I am not aggressive, I am the most peaceful person, but if you violate your duties, you will knock me out (…). The limit was exceeded last night. If my sister hadn’t stopped me, maybe I wouldn’t have exceeded the limit.(…) More people had tangents with them. They are slightly deviated, otherwise I have nothing to do with them, they are two souls. Maybe some say you need to be patient. Slave to the limit. But when you do far-fetched, unworthy things, you want to defile the image of the monastery. “What are you, an unmarried hysterical bitch who came to perform a play in front of 500 people?” said the priest Kalistratus.
