Nole had a very difficult season: he missed many important competitions due to his unvaccinated status for Covid-19, but eventually he arrived at the Pala Alpitour in Turin and “washed away” everything that stood in his way.

Ruud resisted heroically in the first set, won two games in which Nole had break points and reached overtime, but broke right before the tie-break: 7-5.

A single break also made the difference in the second set as Djokovic raced to a 3-1 lead and was unstoppable (Kasper was unable to create problems on the return): 6-3.

The final lasted one hour and 33 minutes.
