
Russia has increased the number of troops in the Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army announced on Saturday.
In order to provide shelter for a large number of soldiers, part of the civilian population was forcibly relocated to other areas, the Ukrainian General Staff said, reports the DPA agency, citing Agerpres.
Meanwhile, the Russian and Ukrainian military continue fighting in several hot spots, using tanks, artillery systems and grenade launchers, Kyiv reports.
According to the Ukrainian military, more than 60 Russian soldiers were killed or wounded in the city of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia region alone.
DPA notes that it was not possible to verify information from an independent source about Kyiv.
