
An ATM blown up by thieves in the city of Castelo on the night of Thursday to Friday contained more than 100,000 lei, the District Police Inspectorate (IPJ) of Constanta said.
The exact amount that was in the ATM before the explosion should be reported by the representatives of the banking unit to which the ATM belonged.
“After checks, it was established that there was more than 100,000 lei in the ATM, and the representatives of the relevant banking unit must report the total amount that was in the ATM before the explosion,” IPJ reported.
According to the source, investigative actions are ongoing in the case to establish the persons involved and the circumstances of the event.
The ATM of a bank branch located in the center of the city of Castelo was targeted by thieves, it was destroyed by an explosion, IPJ Constanţa reported on Friday morning.
Yesterday evening, around 3:15, the police officers of the 4th rural division of Mejidiya received a message by calling 112 that an ATM was broken in the village of Castelu.
“When the police went to the scene, they found that the reports were confirmed, and the ATM was destroyed as a result of the explosion. The investigation into the fact of the commission of the crime was carried out by police officers, specializing in aggravated theft,” reports IPJ Constanța. (Source: Agerpres)
