Russia has turned the eastern part of Europe into an unpredictable battlefield, Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the President of Ukraine, responded to Joe Biden’s statements, according to which “it is unlikely that the missile that fell in Poland was launched from Russia,” writes Reuters.

Podoliak accuses Russia of being responsible for any “missile incidents” after the invasion of Ukraine.

  • “In my opinion, one must follow one logic. Russia started and is waging the war.
  • Russia is massively attacking Ukraine with cruise missiles.
  • Russia has turned the eastern part of the European continent into an unpredictable battlefield. Intention, means of execution, risks, escalation – all this only from Russia. And there can be no other explanation for any missile incident,” said Mykhailo Podolyak, reacting in this way to the statements of US President Joe Biden.

Joe Biden said on Wednesday that the missile that hit Poland was unlikely to have been launched from Russia, saying Washington and its allies wanted to determine exactly what happened before deciding on a response.

“There is preliminary information that refutes this. Judging by the ballistic trajectory, it was unlikely to have been fired from Russia, but we’ll see. I’m going to make sure we can determine exactly what happened,” Biden told reporters when asked if the missile was launched from Russia.

The blast in NATO member Poland immediately raised concerns that the alliance could be drawn into Russia’s nearly nine-month war against Ukraine, which is backed by the West.
