During his testimony, Mr. Papageorgiou stated that he did not receive any interference from Mr. Papagelopoulos as they did not know each other, and added that there was never any outside interference in his person in any case by a former deputy minister. Justice.

In addition, the witness stated that he did not notice Mr. Papagelopoulos’ extra-departmental interference with any judge.

Mr. Papageorgiou, referring to the former head of the prosecutor’s office for corruption cases Eleni Raikousaid that her resignation surprised him, as it did many others, and added that it had not occurred to him that her resignation had anything to do with Mr. Papagelopoulos.

As regards Ms. Tulupaki, Mr. Papageorgiou stated that he cooperated very well with her, she diligently carried out her duties and, in general, he had a positive opinion of her.

Mr. Zagorios then stated that he had never received a call from Mr. Papagelopoulos about the case of the former president of Piraeus Bank. Michael Salla, but in no other case in which he was interested, and he never requested anything from the relevant prosecutor. The witness also stated that he only had official relations with Mr. Papagelopoulos.
