President Klaus Iohannis said on Tuesday evening that Romania is fully in solidarity with Poland in the context of “alarming news” related to explosions on the territory of this country, where two rockets allegedly fell near the border with Ukraine. For its part, the Romanian government announced that it is in contact with its allies and is analyzing the situation that arose due to the fall of missiles on the territory of Poland.

For its part, the Romanian government announced that it is analyzing the situation caused by the fall of missiles on the territory of Poland, that it maintains contacts with its allies and, at the same time, is ready to “act in accordance with the evolution” of the situation.

“The Government of Romania, through specialized ministries and institutions, maintains contact with allies and analyzes the situation that arose due to the fall of missiles on the territory of Poland. We support our Polish allies and friends and are ready to act in accordance with the development of the situation,” the executive committee said in a Facebook message.

And the Ministry of National Defense reports that through the mechanisms of cooperation and consultations at the allied and bilateral levels with the Ministry of Defense of Poland, it is monitoring the incident near the Polish-Ukrainian border in which two Polish citizens died.

“The Minister of Defense of Romania Angel Tilvar conveyed to his Polish colleague Mariusz Blaszczak the solidarity and support of the Romanian army to take the necessary measures after clarifying all the circumstances of the incident. “Romania strongly condemns the unjustified and illegal aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
