Florentin Pera hopes the break hasn’t thrown his students off their toes

The win over Spain brought Romania’s first glimmer of hope, and Pera hopes the four-day break hasn’t thrown the tricolors out of whack. The coach stated that the Montenegrin national team is strong and explained what his players must do to win the match in Skopje.

“I experienced the match against Spain with maximum intensity, especially the end, which was a heart attack. I am glad that the girls did not give up and fought until the last second, as confirmation of that, Bazaliu’s goal is very important.

I am happy to start with an important win against a strong team. We hope this victory will give us confidence before the match against Montenegro.

This weekend gave us an opportunity to recover players as we faced a number of party issues, but it’s true that we were out of the competition for a few days and that could be a disadvantage for us. We were in good shape, we got two wins, maybe it would have helped us more to play for two days. Let’s see if this break was favorable or not against us.

I am confident in the potential of the team and we will approach this game with a win, as we did against Spain. The pressure is increasing on Montenegro. They came with the maximum number of points from the group, won on their home field. Now we are playing in Macedonia, but in the match against France they had a lot of fans, they played like at home. And we have extra pressure, given that this is a big chance for us. I will try to instill in the girls the spirit of winners, to believe in themselves, to play with the same desire and with the thought of achieving a positive result.

If we play more accurately, we will make fewer mistakes. They have an aggressive game, especially in the defensive phase. We have a chance to get a good result. The results recorded yesterday are favorable for us, but we have to focus on our game. A win against France was important for Montenegro, but their chances remained the same despite the defeat.

Montenegro is a strong team, it has the entire squad at its disposal, it is a group of players who have been playing together for a long time. They have an aggressive defense. We will have to look for the best solutions in attack, not give them the opportunity to play very aggressively and look for ways to penetrate. Will have to run more. In defense, we will have to be compact” – Florentin Pera for DigiSport.
