Liviu Ciobotariou’s side quickly opened the scoring through Vitalie Damascan, but the home side restored parity through Claudio Caeser after a fine display from the Aradines.

Called up to the Romanian national football team for the first time, Mihai Popa became the hero of Ilfoveni in the second half. The 22-year-old goalkeeper made several decisive saves that kept the scoreboard intact.

UTA Arad – FC Voluntari 1-1, a draw that doesn’t help anyone

The result between UTA Arad and FC Voluntari will not help either team. Even if Liviu Ciobotariu’s pupils advanced in the ranking to 9th place (21 points), the result is not an advantage for them at all, considering that many teams hope to get to the playoffs.

Things are not better for the Arad team, who are ahead of FC Kraiova 1948 and have risen to 14th place (17 points).
