Please fans at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar chant Mahse Amini’s name

Popular movements in Iran over the past eight weeks have been sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini, a young Iranian of Kurdish origin. She was 22 and died on September 16, just three days after she was arrested for breaking a strict dress code for women, which required them to wear face coverings in public.

The call was made by several Iranian human rights activists, who proposed that the crowd chant Amini’s name at the 22nd minute of every Iran match at the FIFA World Cup.

According to statistics published by the non-governmental organization Iran Human Rights, at least 304 people were killed in Iran during various demonstrations triggered by the death of young Mahsa Amini, writes News.ro.
