The 22-year-old blogger did not have a passport, he was detained to establish his identity. TV channel “Zvezda” claims that Nekoglai was taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Presnensky district of Moscow.

As reported by Telegram channel 112, Necoglai is a citizen of the Republic of Moldova and was detained for violating immigration laws. Several sources cited by TASS, one of Russia’s state-run news agencies, said he would be deported if found to have violated Russian laws on foreigners.

His arrest came two days after he posted a TikTok parody of a popular video of a Russian soldier lying in a ditch before throwing two grenades fired from a Ukrainian drone.

“Asmus is accused of posting a text post on Instagram aimed at negative attitude towards the conduct of the special operation,” the court explained. The incriminating post is dated February 24, the first day of the Russian invasion.
