The difficult situation of the Russians on the Ukrainian front makes Russian propagandists sigh on state television. TV presenter Olga Skabeeva in her program “Russia-1” asked a military correspondent how far Russian troops are advancing in Ukraine, the answer was difficult.
“In terms of settlements, are there any that we can take in the near future? Or are we now measuring our success only in meters and kilometers, advancing very slowly?”, Olga Skabeeva asks military journalist Dmytro Steshin.
His answer was a “blow”:
“To quote a sniper friend who was in Mariintka for many months, that is near Donetsk, Avdiyivka, Piskivy, ‘We are advancing three centimeters a day’,” is the phrase. No comments.” At this moment, Olga Skabeeva takes a deep breath, sighs, and dejectedly says: “Okay, thank you very much.”
Russian state TV presenter Olga Skabeeva: Come on, please tell us about all the villages that we will take!

Russians defend their positions with “dragon’s teeth”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said on Monday that the eastern Donetsk region remains the “epicenter” of Russia’s hostilities against Ukraine, where hundreds of Russians die every day.
“Donetsk remains the epicenter of the greatest madness of the occupiers,” Zelenskyy said in his evening video message. “Hundreds of them are killed every day. The ground in front of the Ukrainian positions is full of corpses of the occupiers.”
The cities of Bakhmut and Avdiyivka are centers of the fiercest fighting in the Donetsk region.
Russia has begun building concrete structures known as “dragon’s teeth” around the occupied southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol in an attempt to slow the advance of Ukrainian troops.
The installation of the “dragon’s teeth” is the latest evidence of the significant efforts made by Russian forces to prepare as strong a defense as possible behind the current front line in order to prevent the rapid advance of Ukrainian troops.
At the same time, drone footage captured Ukrainian army artillery fire during the battle for the town of Pavlivka, showing a group of Russian marines trying to hide in a house before being hit by a shell.
The new video features soldiers of the 155th Marine Brigade who died during the fighting here. Soldiers from this elite unit have sent a letter to the governor of the region where they are based, demanding an independent investigation into why they were sent into what they call “incomprehensible” combat.
Another video, which appeared a day ago on social networks, recorded another moment of this battle in the south-west of the Donetsk region, where the Ukrainians fired at a Russian armored column with artillery and anti-tank installations. passing me in the chaos of the battle.
