University of Craiova beat University of Cluj 1-0 at home after a match controlled by Olteni in which they also missed a penalty in the first half.

Mitrea missed from 11 meters

With star player Andriy Ivan only on the bench, Mirel Redoy’s men could have opened the scoring in the 28th minute, but Bohdan Mitrea’s 11-metre effort was denied by Plamen Iliev after Braysag’s foul on Bayaram.

The winning goal was scored in the 60th minute, when Aleksandr Krets sent Bank’s cross from the left flank into the net. In the minutes of overtime, Aleksandr Chipchu left the University of Cluj in numerical invincibility, receiving a second yellow card.

The University of Craiova temporarily rises to third place, above CFR Cluj, while the University of Cluj remains in 12th place.
