Quickly asks FRF to complete track record

President Daniel Nikulae said that the file has been prepared and will be sent to the forum under the leadership of Rezvan Burleanu.

“A letter about the 1942 and 1944 titles should be sent to the Romanian Football Federation. We have already put together the file, we are missing some papers and we will certainly take all the steps because the titles that should be recognized and won on the field by Rapid will hopefully be transferred to us in the club report. Because it seems normal to me,” Daniel Nikulae told Rapid TV.

Bessarabian Cup and World War II

Rapid won the 1941-1942 wartime championship, called the Bessarabian Cup, but not recognized by the FRF. Also due to the war, the 1943-1944 football championship was interrupted with two stages to go, the railwaymen came out on top with four points more than Unira Tricolor.

The 1940 Central European Cup final, canceled by the war

In 1940, Rapid reached the final of the Central European Cup (the future UEFA Cup), but the outbreak of the Second World War left the final act of the competition without a competition. After defeating MTK Hungary in the quarter-finals, and Gradinski Zagreb in the semi-finals, Rapid was going to meet Ferencvaros Budapest in the finals.

Three official titles on record

Rapid Bucharest won the title three times (1967, 1999 and 2003), and in the Romanian Cup they lifted the trophy 13 times. He also has 4 Romanian Super Cups and a League Cup.
