Seven people, including three policemen, are being investigated by DIICOT prosecutors Karash-Severin in a case in which they are accused of attempted murder in the style of the mafia, the man was brutally beaten, thrown into a trunk and taken to the Danube, where the aggressors tried to drown him.

In January 2021, three suspects allegedly chased the victim, who was beaten and taken by car to the bank of the Danube, where they tried to drown him.

Three police officers and one other person were detained, but only one of the agents was detained by the court, the other two are under judicial control, and no measures have been assigned to the fourth accused, News.ro notes. The decision was appealed by DIICOT.

“I went to a pub in town, had a beer and came home. Two neighbors brought me by car. I got off when three people I had met and met at the bar suddenly lunged at me and punched me. Then they put me in the trunk. I resisted, trying not to let them close the trunk. They beat me by the hair until I broke my leg!

We arrived in Pescari (no – Coronini commune), in the area of ​​the university dormitory. They took me by the fists and legs, then threw me into the Danube. One of them reproached me for saying something to his father some 27 years ago and told me that it was at the place where I was thrown into the Danube that my father drowned – I drowned! They beat him again, then put him in a car, beat him to the end and threw him in the dumps near the stadium!

There the police found me frozen and with a broken leg. The police took me to the hospital and left me there. They put an electric blanket on me because I was cold. Since then, no one from the police has come to ask me what happened. I myself went to the prosecutor’s office and filed a statement! No reason, I had nothing to share with them! “On November 3 of this year, the police of the Karash-Severin Organized Crime Service, together with the prosecutors of DIICOT – the Karash-Severin Territorial Administration and the Anti-Corruption Service of the Karash-Severin county, conducted 8 searches in the houses of Karash-Severin. Severynskyi poviat, in – a case in which investigative actions are being carried out, on the grounds of committing the crimes of creating an organized criminal group, attempted murder, illegal deprivation of liberty, aiding and abetting a criminal, abuse of official position, and intellectual forgery.

As a result of the searches, several computer systems and other evidence necessary for the investigation of the case were seized, and 7 persons, who are reasonably suspected of involvement in criminal activities, were brought to the meeting.

In the case, investigative actions are being carried out regarding the activities of an organized criminal group aimed at committing the crime of intentional murder. This group would consist of three people from the city of Moldavia Noue, Karash-Severin county, and it would be supported by another 4 people.

Thus, in order to achieve the objective of the OZG, three persons who would make up the OPG, on the night of January 22-23, 2021, approached, watched over and harassed the victim whom they attacked, after which she approached the house where she lives, inflicting several blows on her fists, legs and club.

They would also put her against her will in the trunk of a car.

The suspects transported the victim to the bank of the Danube River, where one of them tried to drown her by forcefully holding her head in the water.

As the suspects realized that the police had been warned, they would leave the injured person in an area on the outskirts of the city of Moldova Noue and manage to escape with the support of a fourth person.

So, on November 3 of this year, the prosecutors of the DIICOT – Karash – Severyn territorial administration decided to detain 4 people for 24 hours on the grounds of committing the crimes of creating an organized criminal group, attempted murder, and deprivation of liberty. in an illegal way, for the benefit of the guilty party, abuse of official position and intellectual forgery.

On November 4 of this year, after receiving a request for pretrial detention for 4 persons involved in the case, the judge on rights and freedoms chose a 30-day pretrial detention for one of the suspects and judicial pretrial detention for the other two men. Regarding the fourth suspect, the application for arrest without preventive measure was rejected.

Investigative actions are ongoing with the aim of bringing to criminal responsibility all persons involved in criminal activity.”
