
The Romanian Lottery announces on Thursday evening that the main prize has been won in Loto 6/49, worth more than 3.9 million euros. The winning ticket was drawn at an agency in Giurgiu and was worth 21.5 lei, News.ro reports.
“In the Loto 6/49 draw, the first category prize in the amount of 19,198,843.92 lei (over 3.9 million euros) was won. The lucky ticket was drawn at an agency in Giurgiu, and the cost of 3 simple options was 21.50 lei,” the Romanian lottery announced on Thursday evening.
The cited source specified that 9 prizes in the second category were won in the Loto 6/49 draw in the amount of 15,657.03 lei.
“The lucky tickets were drawn in agencies in Pitesti, Constanta, Cernavod, Slanik Prahova, sectors 1, 3, 5 and 6 of Bucharest and in the POS terminal at the partner’s location,” the company also reported.
In the Loto 5/40 draw, a second category prize in the amount of 83,253.80 lei was won. The lucky ticket was drawn at an agency in Constanta.
This is the biggest prize won on Loto 6/49 this year. On March 27, Lotto 6/49 won a prize worth 14,823,497.68 lei (approximately 3 million euros).
This year, also in March, a record prize of more than €6.7 million was won on Joker, after more than two years without a Category I winner.
According to the Romanian Lottery, the biggest prize in the history of the Romanian lottery was in Lotto 6 of 49 in 2013, and at that time it was more than 11 million euros.
