The new owner of Twitter will notify the affected employees on Friday, News.ro cites.

Bloomberg reports that Musk has removed “vacation days” from the calendars of Twitter Inc. employees, according to people familiar with the matter.

During the pandemic, a monthly day off was introduced for the entire enterprise. His departure is another sign of Musk’s impatience with Twitter’s existing culture.

Musk also plans to end Twitter’s telecommuting policy and allow employees who are exempt from major layoffs to return to Twitter’s offices full-time.

In a tweet, Musk denied a New York Times article that said he plans to lay off Twitter employees by Nov. 1 to avoid a stock bonus that’s due that day.

Twitter did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.

Earlier this week, Reuters reported, citing sources, that Musk plans to lay off a quarter of Twitter’s employees as part of the first round of layoffs at the company he recently acquired.
