A person tried to stick to the wall next to the painting, similar to the action of the band Letzte Generation.

Previously, she distributed leaflets in the hall. The security forces quickly reported the incident to the police, who managed to quickly tear the man from the wall and detain him.

No other people or robots were injured. The museum did not provide information about damage to the work or the frame; both are researched in their own restoration workshop.

The room dedicated to the Impressionists was closed immediately after the incident and will reopen on Tuesday.

Dutch police arrested three people on Thursday after environmental activists vandalized Johannes Vermeer’s famous painting Girl with a Pearl Earring.

In recent days, activists have also attacked the paintings “Sunflower” by Vincent Van Gogh and “Les Meules” by Claude Monet.
