On Monday, Taylor Swift made music history by becoming the first artist to hold all ten spots on the US singles chart at the same time after the release of her album “Midnights”, AFP and News.ro reported.

The situation led to her song “Anti-Hero” debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

This is the first time in the 64-year history of the chart that one artist claimed the entire top 10, according to Billboard.

The last artist to come close was Drake, who took nine of the most coveted spots in September 2021.

Swift released her long-awaited album Midnights on Oct. 21, also debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard chart, the biggest opening week since Adele’s “25” in 2015.

The release of Swift’s 10th album shut down Spotify for several hours, but “Midnights” still set the record for the most-streamed album of the day, according to the platform.

“The album’s 13 songs tell ‘the story of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life,'” Swift said.

Together they form “a complete picture of the intensity of this mysterious and crazy hour.”

Swift’s latest album sees her return to pop and revisit some of her early hits after two pandemonium albums, Folklore and Evermore, which leaned towards folk.

It also comes at a time when the 32-year-old artist has enjoyed tremendous success as she keeps her promise to re-record her first six albums in order to control the rights to them.

So far, she has released two re-recordings from her six albums: “Fearless” and “Red”.

Swift has four more to go after being contractually allowed to begin the process in November 2020.
