Darren Cahill’s apprentice (12 ATP, 11 favourite) succumbed to the Swiss, ranked 61st in the world, 6-2, 6-3 after just 68 minutes of play.

In the next round after qualifying, Huessler will meet Russian Karen Khachanov (19 ATP, 2018 draw winner).
