Judge Gabriela Baltag, a member of the SCM, is submitting a request for resignation, and her request will be considered at the next meeting of the Section of Judges of the SCM. Another 62 magistrates have submitted their resignations and their situation will be discussed on Thursday, News.ro reports.

On Thursday, from 10:00 a.m., a meeting of the section for judges of the CCM will be held, one of the issues on the agenda of which is the discussion of petitions for dismissal from office.

First on the list is Judge Gabriela Baltag from the Neamts Court, a member of the CSM.

Baltag was born on September 1, 1968, since October 1, 1993, he entered the system as a judge in the court of Piatra-Neamts. Since November 2003, he has been a judge of the Neamts court, and in 2016 he became a member of the CSM.

In the last elections, Baltag announced his intention to run for the post of CSM president, but his candidacy was not approved by the judges’ section.

In the past, Baltag exchanged words with President Klaus Iohannis when he participated in an election meeting of the CSM leadership.

Baltag was also considered close to former CSM president Lia Savonea.

On the agenda of Thursday’s meeting are 62 more applications for the dismissal of some judges.
