AT tax avoidance for five years, a steakhouse has been operating in the central square of Chania, as established by the auditors of the Independent State Revenue Office (AADE).
In its five years of operation, the steakhouse has evaded taxes on three levels:
- In the information she provided on her tax returns
- In the absence of the necessary software
- About the receipts he didn’t issue for orders through delivery platforms
The auditors carefully reviewed tax data for 2018, 2019 and 2020 and found the following:
- According to the submitted declarations, for these three financial years there was zero gross income and cumulative losses of more than 90,000 euros.
- Having visited the enterprise, AADE auditors found that the enterprise has been operating without the use of the Electronic Tax Mechanism since the first day of its operation.
- Data from digital order platforms were entered into a special algorithm for processing and comparison with issued receipts. It was found that a total of 137,000 orders were not issued Receipts for Retail Transactions for a total amount of EUR 1.1 million, which corresponds to a VAT of EUR 143,000.
In addition to the fines and surcharges already imposed on the company, auditors continue to investigate other tax data of the company.
