Sebastien Haller is training with Ajax Amsterdam

At the age of 28, Sebastien Haller was the star of one of the summer’s most exciting moves when he was signed by Borussia Dortmund for €31 million after a fantastic season at Ajax Amsterdam.

The Ivorian impressed in the 2021/22 season, particularly in the UEFA Champions League, where he found the back of the net and scored 11 times.

In July of this year, complaining of several pains in the groin area, Haller underwent several medical examinations, and the verdict was cruel – testicular cancer.

The player immediately began treatment and chemotherapy, and on Monday the Ivorian asked Ajax to prepare with them.

Also on Monday, the manager of Amsterdam “Ajax” Alfred Schroeder confirmed that Haller is training with the “Ulans”.

“He asked us if he could go to training with us.

It is great that he will be with us for a while. He trained on a different field, which will serve him well in the recovery process.” – he said.

After suffering a concussion before the start of the new season, Haller immediately moved into treatment and rehabilitation that will help him get back on the field as soon as possible.

The Germans acted immediately after receiving the painful news and transferred another striker from the Bundesliga with a lot of experience in the competition, Antoni Modeste, for whom they paid 5.1 million euros.

Haller did not neglect his team, despite health problems, and took part in several of Borussia’s games at Signal Iduna Park.
